24. November 1600

Balthasar Russow, who was well respected as a pastor and well know as a chronicler, died unexpectedly in November, 1600. According to the protocol of the Town Council, on the morning of his death day, he had baptized a child and the went to the market. Then, however, he had felt a pinch in his chest, and died few hours later. Apparently, Russow died of heart attack.

Russow had been married three times. His first wife was the daughter of a German furrier Hans Gandersen; the second was the daughter of Johannes von Geldern, the Bishop of Estonia; and third, 30 years younger Anna Bade, who was an orphan daughter of a merchant of the Great Guild. His latter two marriages affirm Russow's high status.
