The new cold record was struck in Tallinn and Pärnu, were the temperature fell to 4 C.
On the night of July 4, the temperature near the ground fell below zero in several places in Estonia, but this does not count as a record, because according to the international standards, air temperature is measured 2 m from the ground.

Previous cold records in Tallinn and Pärnu date from July 6, 1992, when the temperatures were 4,9 and 5,7 degrees C respectively.
